Required Hardware
We recommend the use of the R310 single axis receiver, a R525 dual axis receiver and the T310 rotating laser with ProFlangeV2 software for measuring the Flatness and Parallelism of Flanges.

Measurement method - quick description:
Task: Measure the flatness and the relative parallelism of two connected flanges.
The Method is called. “The combined Laser point and bearing Method for Flange parallelism” it is a pending patent belonging to Status Pro.
The method uses the standing beam of the T310 detected by dual-axis receiver (R520) to reproduce a second rotating reference plane. It is a great combination of traditional measurement craftsmanship and modern laser technology.

b) you can use a rotating beam
c) you don’t have to a adjust the laser from point to point.
d) it offers great measurement security because the measurement is symmetrical.
- Measurement of flatness and flange parallelism on wind towers.
- For the measurement of flatness/twist on circular planes such as flanges is best achieved with a sweep laser like the T310. A Rotating beam means you do not have to touch the source while measuring. You can choose your reference with three points or better use the best- fit feature. All measurements are displayed in 3-D colour. You can rotate the 3D image to get the best view.
- The R310 Wireless sensor with its large measurement range also makes life easier.
